On the occasion that your order has already been processed, you are required to return the order to us in perfect condition.
RETURN OR EXCHANGE AN ITEM
Under the circumstance that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item/s to us in perfect, original condition within 14 days of receipt (this excludes custom made items which are only returnable if they are faulty). Glasses Station will issue a refund upon receipt, or exchange the item for a different/model colour upon your request. Please note that gift wrap costs are non-refundable.
To ensure a speedy refund or exchange please complete the form provided here and enclose this form with your returned item.
- When you have received your order, please double check that the sent goods are in perfect condition. On the rare occasion that there is a problem please notify us straight away so our customer service team can advise on how to proceed.
- Each item ordered is your responsibility until it reaches us at Glasses Station. For your own protection, we advise that you send your returned goods via a delivery service that offers insurance for the value of the goods.
- Should you be returning from OUTSIDE THE EU, you MUST NOT USE COURIER SERVICES. Such services will incur excessive clearance fees and as a result Glasses Station will either charge these fees back to you or refuse delivery. Upon the parcel you must ensure the value is listed as “ZERO” and that “RETURNED GOODS” is clearly written upon both the form and parcel itself, as Glasses Station cannot accept such parcels that incur duty charges.
- On the rare occasion that your item is received in faulty condition, you are required to notify Glasses Station in writing within 7 days of receipt of the product received.
- Glasses Station will not cover for returns postage unless the wrong item is received through fault of Glasses Station, or if the item received is confirmed as faulty.

Please contact our Returns department on 0844 848 7878 in the unlikely event that the item you have received is faulty. Upon contacting please quote your name, address, order number, the reason for return, details of the product and whether you would like a refund or exchange/replacement. Our customer service team will then advise on the returns procedure for this circumstance. If it is the case that your item has been received in a faulty condition, you are required to notify us in writing within 7 days of receipt of the product.
I RECEIVED THE WRONG ITEM
If the item received does not correspond with the item that was ordered, please contact our Returns team on 0844 848 7878 quoting your name, address, order number, reason for return, details of the product and whether you require a refund or replacement item. Our Returns team will then advise the best way to proceed with the return.
Please note that this returns policy will not affect your statutory rights.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
PLACING AN ORDER
By placing an order on Glasses Station, it is expected that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
The use of our website and the Terms and Conditions stated here are governed by English law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Court. Please note that this does not affect your non-excludable statutory rights.
Our Terms and Conditions along with our website are designed for use under UK law and within the United Kingdom. Whilst Glasses Station are happy to take requests for products and enquiries from outside the United Kingdom into consideration, we give no express or warranty that the use of www.glassesstation.co.uk or by the placing of orders through this website from outside of the UK resonates with any applicable non-UK regulations or laws. Consequently, any promotions or products not permitted under your local law will not be offered to you.
Once an order has been accepted, processed and dispatched, only then will a contract between Shade Limited and the customer for the sale of our products will exist. This will not affect the customer’s statutory rights.
Availability and prices of all goods on our website is subject to change without notice. Where appropriate, a delivery charge will be added to your order value.
YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL
Once your order has been accepted by us, you have a right to cancel your order for any reason up to the point of dispatch. On the occasion that you do cancel the contract within this time frame, any payments you have made will be fully refunded within 30 days from this date.
Due to prescription lenses being a bespoke item, this element cannot be cancelled or refunded as this cannot be resold after glazing.
PAYMENT AND TAXES
Glasses Station accept only online payment in a secure environment by The Shade Group company gift vouchers or by credit card. Glasses Station currently accepts Mastercard, Visa, Switch, Delta and Visa Electron. All transactions will be shown in Pounds Sterling (£).
We can confirm that we do not store personal or financial information in the payment process, nor do we share this information with third parties.
Prices quoted on Glasses Station are shown in Pounds Sterling (£) and are accurate at the time of publication. Prices include UK sales tax where appropriate at the current rate of 20.0%. Should your order be sent to a member state of the EC, then the selling price will include VAT at the current rate. Once the package reaches your destination country, any import duties or customs levied will be the responsibility of the customer as these charges cannot be predicted and Glasses Station has no control over these.
Shade Group offers Style Bank points as part of the online loyalty scheme. These points are awarded and are redeemable from the Glasses Station website to customers ordering from Australia, United States and the EU.
OUR GUARANTEE TO YOU
On the unfortunate occasion that your credit/debit card is fraudulently used as a direct result of being used to buy from Glasses Station, then liability will be assumed by us for the first £50 of your loss. After this your credit card company is obliged to take responsibility for the remaining amount. We will however work with your credit card company to reduce the inconvenience for you.
Glasses Station take all measures to display every item in our current range. We also endeavour to hold stock of every size and style whilst a product is live on our website. However, there may be some occasions where items are out of stock.
All delivery dates quoted are an estimate only and can be subject to change. Glasses Station cannot accept liability should any damage or loss (whether indirect or direct) occur at any other time than these estimated dates. Any order received by us before 4pm will, providing the item is in stock, be dispatched on the following day for delivery within 7-10 working days. Any order received after 4pm will be dispatched the day after the following day.
Orders are usually dispatched from our warehouse within 24 hours, stock permitting. We estimate that orders will arrive with UK customers within a three working day time period. If an item is temporarily out of stock, Glasses Station will notify you of the delay and dispatch your item as soon as it arrives, should you wish to continue with the order.
If you miss the delivery of your order and as a result it is left uncollected and gets shipped back to us, the customer will be charged for reshipment to be sent back out.
If you receive your parcel and it looks as though it has been damaged/opened, the package must be signed by the customer stating that the package was not received in perfect condition.
CONFORMITY OF GOODS
Our website states a description of all goods. Whilst there are no changes to the supplied goods, in some cases it is possible that there are some minor variations to the specification/description of the goods which comes as a result of necessary changes made by the manufacturers of the parts supplied which in turn form part of the goods.
During the ordering process, you must provide us with details of the relevant, most up-to-date prescription that is to be applied to the goods. The prescription you provide must have been supplied to you by a Registered Medical Practitioner or Registered Ophthalmic Optician as the result of an eye examination undertaken by them, within the last 2 years.
The prescription you enter during the ordering process will be relied upon and the goods provided will include lenses matching the exact prescription that you have submitted.
Once ordered, prescription lenses are classed as a bespoke item and as a result cannot be refunded or cancelled.
Please consult a Registered Medical Practitioner or Registered Ophthalmic Optician before placing an order if you are unsure of the relevant prescription to be applied to the goods.
Unless you provide us with your average Pupillary Distance ‘PD,’ we will use the average PD provided by fully qualified Dispensing Opticians to complete your order. Therefore by agreeing to these terms and conditions you are agreeing to let us the appropriate average PD of 65mm, unless otherwise stated. To obtain your PD before ordering please consult your optician.
Please note the lenses we use in prescriptions are our own ophthalmic lenses and not those of the frame brand, therefore these lenses will not include the brand logo unless you opt for Ray-Ban Genuine Lenses at checkout.
To order prescription lenses from Glasses Station you must be over the age of 18 and not registered partially sighted, blind, or be ordering on behalf of someone under the age of 18.
We do not supply glasses with single vision lenses of a cylindrical power greater than +4.00 and -4.00 (dioptres) and of a spherical power greater than +8.00 and -6.00 (dioptres), therefore we cannot accept any requests to supply these.
On the occasion that a certain prescription and frame combination incurs an extra charge in order to be glazed, our customer service team will notify you of this before your lenses are glazed.
DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Shade Limited does not seek to limit or exclude liability for personal injury or death as a result of its negligence or that of its member’s directors, employees or agents or for any fraudulent misrepresentation.
Permitted by law and save as provided above to the fullest extent, neither Shade Limited nor any affiliated company are liable to you by reason of any implied warranty, representation, any duty at common law, condition or other term, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence (whether on part of Shade Limited or any of its directors, employees, members, agents or otherwise) for any indirect consequential or special damage or loss (inclusive of but not limited to loss of saving or loss of profit), other claims, costs, expenses for compensation as a result of or in conjunction with the use of Glasses Station, the sale of products or their resale or use by you.
“In these conditions, the limitations of liability apply both for the benefit of Shade Limited and any other affiliated company of Shade Limited as if references to Shade Limited included references to each such affiliated company.”
Shade Limited uses reasonable endeavours to make sure the information provided on Glasses Station is correct and up to date, however it does not give any guarantee as to its completeness or accuracy and Shade Limited will not be held responsible for any omissions or errors or for the results as a consequence of such information.
Shade Limited takes all the essential steps to ensure a reliable and fast service, however it does not make any warranty that your use of Glasses Station will be error or interruption free and will not be held responsible for corruption/loss of material or data when downloaded onto any computer system or corruption of any material in transit.
Further to this, Shade Limited will not be liable nor responsible for your use of any other websites which you may enter via links within Glasses Station. Any such links are displayed only as a service to website users and their inclusion in Glasses Station does not suggest an affiliation or endorsement with Shade Limited.
The complete liability of Shade Limited under or in connection with any contract for any products to which these conditions apply shall not surpass the price of products apart from those expressly stated in these conditions.
Shade Limited cannot be liable to you nor be considered to be in breach of the contract by reason of any performance delay, performance failure or any of its obligations in relation to ordered products by you if such delays or failures are due to any cause beyond its reasonable control.
Shade Limited may transfer or assign any of its rights or sub contract any of its responsibilities under these terms and conditions to any third party. You may not sub contract any of your obligations under these terms and conditions nor transfer any of your rights unless you have specific written permission from Shade Limited.
Any person who is not a party to the terms and conditions here shall not have any right to impose any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. These conditions are not intended nor shall affect any of your statutory rights that may not be excluded legally.
COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARK
All content on these pages (inclusive of designs, logos, photographs, pictures, text written and other materials) are the registered trademark or copyright trademark of either Shade Limited, its content and technology providers or their respective owners. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. The modification, distribution, reproduction and copying or incorporation into any other work that is part of all of the available material on Glasses Station in any form is strictly prohibited. You are agreeing not to use the exact or any marks similar in colour without permission in writing from Shade Limited.
